Jesse Roman, M.D., FACP, FACCP, Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Chairman, Department of Medicine and Chief, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Disorders Medicine at The University of Louisville, presented “The History of an Oxy-phile” at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on April 28, 2016.

The talk focused on summarizing important events leading to our current understanding of COPD and acute lung injury, discussing the scientific contributions leading to the use of chronic oxygen therapy, and highlighting the contributions of a clinician-investigator considered one of the top pulmonologist of the past century and a role model for academic success.
